Activate multiple muscle groups and perform anaerobic and aerobic exercises to get rid of belly fat.
To shed that troubling belly bulge you have to burn more calories than you consume. Engaging muscles burns calories, so the most effective weighted exercises will be the ones that utilize multiple muscle groups. Performing exercises that combine anaerobic and aerobic activity will also burn calories and help you lose your belly fat.
Start with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a kettlebell with both hands. Keep your arms fully extended and squat so that the weight is between your legs. Bring the kettlebell beneath and behind you. Thrust you hips forward and swing the weight up to about your chest, keeping your arms straight. Arc the weight back down so that it passes beneath you again and repeat for the desired repetitions. Do not round or arch your back. Kettlebell swings combine aerobic and anaerobic activity to burn calories, targeting the lower back, hamstrings and glutes.
Dumbbell Front Squat
Start with your feet shoulder-width apart and a dumbbell in each hand. Lower your body, keeping the dumbbells in front of your shoulders -- with your palms facing each other -- and your weight on your heels. Stop when your hamstrings are parallel to the ground. Your back and core should remain straight and your chin should also be parallel with the ground. This exercise activates the quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, core and also the biceps.
Begin by lying on your back with your right hand extended above your chest and your right foot flat on the ground. Your left leg should be fully extended and your left palm should be on the floor. Sit up by engaging your abdominal muscles and pushing off with your left hand. Lift off the ground using your right foot and left hand. As you lift, swing your left leg beneath your body to maneuver into a lunge position. Push through your heels and stand, moving both feet side-by-side. The kettlebell should remain above you the entire time. Reverse direction and return to your back, repeating for the desired reps. The Turkish getup focuses on the shoulders, legs and core.
Safety Tips and Considerations
No single exercise will remove your belly fat. Activating a number of muscle groups or combining aerobic and anaerobic exercise will help burn the most calories and therefore burn the most fat. Keep a water bottle handy, and start every workout with a warm-up and stretching. End with a cooldown and more stretching. Pair effective exercising with healthy eating and you'll lose that stubborn belly fat in no time.
